Scoring: 19-76 overall score with greater values indicating increased impact on quality of life. Bother scales are not incorporated in the overall score but indicate impact of individual symptoms for the patient.
Background: The ICIQ-LUTSqol is a patient-completed questionnaire for evaluating quality of life (QoL) in urinary incontinent patients for use in research and clinical practice. The additional ICIQ modules available include: ICIQ- MLUTS, ICIQ-FLUTS - Gender-specific symptom modules; ICIQ-MLUTSsex, ICIQ-FLUTSsex - Gender-specific sexual matters modules.

Strengths/ Weaknesses: The ICIQ-LUTSqol provides a detailed and robust measure to assess the impact of urinary incontinence on quality of life with particular reference to social effects . It is an ideal research tool as it explores in detail the impact on patients' lives of urinary incontinence and can be used as an outcome measure to assess impact of different treatment modalities.
Psychometric Properties: Validity, reliability and responsiveness established with rigor in several data sets.
Administration: The ICIQ-LUTSqol takes 10-15 minutes to administer.
